A bunny napkin

Posted on April 21, 2011

It is almost Easter and if you are like me, I go all out for holidays. Yes, I am one of those that dress up and make the treats and get my husband to play along with every single holiday. I love Easter, mostly for what it represents, but also the family gatherings and also the overdose on easter eggs.

I saw this really cute idea over at Ms. Martha’s site. I am going to show you how to fold a bunny napkin. These little ones could add such a fun element to your table.

Step 1: Fold napkin into thirds to form a rectangle. (If you’re using a square napkin, you’ll need to fold in half, and then fold in half again to get a long rectangular shape.)

Step 2: Crease in half to create a center line for reference; fold top corners down. See arrows.

Step 3: Fold bottom corners up along dotted lines.

Step 4: Bring the edges of the left and right together to the center line.

Step 5: Flip upside down and then over. Then turn up the bottom point as shown with the arrow.

Step 6: To fasten the whole thingy: Fold the left and right corners back; tuck one corner into the pocket of the other. And then pull out the bunny ears first; open up base.

Voila, a cute bunny napkin.
