DIY a baby onesie

Posted on May 19, 2011

Today, I am going to show you a cheap, quick and easy way to add a special touch to a plain, white baby onesie. This whole outfit cost me +- R 24.00 or +- $ 3.44, crazy right?! If you are my friend, who received this outie from me…ummm….sorry I am that cheap.

What you will need:

  • a white baby onesie
  • one sheet of felt
  • ribbon
  • a marker

Cut a shape out and trace it out on the sheet of felt.

Cut out all the shapes.

Arrange them and start pinning them onto the onesie.

Now time to stitch.

Add the little white ribbon to round it off.

It took me about 1 hour to complete and voila, you have yourself a cute onesie. Viv says it looks like a chicken suite, but I think it looks cute.

This is adorable and I love it! It would look so cute with multiple shades of one colour – blue, light blue, dark blue, turquoise etc.. Which lucky baby is getting this one!??
