DIY round-up

Posted on June 30, 2011

I have been quite busy with DIY projects the last couple of months, I can’t wait to show you guys all of them. My mom and I worked on one hard core DIY when I was visiting them a couple of weeks back. (read all about my trip here) It is still in process, but I am bursting with excitement to tell you all about it.

Since the rugby world cup is around the corner, thus Viv will be spending a lot of time cheering on the best rugby team in the world. aka the Springboks, (sorry Meagan) I need to stock up on DIY projects to keep me busy.

These are the projects lying in my Pinterest DIY file waiting to be unleashed, some are quite quick and easy, while others will need some elbow grease.

Grab some old glassware that we don’t use anymore, spray-paint them into awesome white goodness.

via

Upholster an old chair with bright fabric for the new house.

via

Make pom-poms with tissue paper for my sister-in-law’s babyshower.

via

You know I am a big fan of doilies ( you can read more about it here), I would love to make a doily lamp.

via

I want to make some art for the new house, I particularly like this one. All you’ll need is a canvas, a couple of butterflies and spray-paint. I love cheap DIY’s.

And since everyone is having babies (my best friend Kimmy is having her second baby which I am totally excited about) I have a couple of kiddy things that I am dying to try.

via

Kimmy’s boy Reece, has one of these neckerchiefs that they got as a gift from a friend in Australia, and she loves it. So glad I found a DIY tut.

via

So cute, a knot hat, there is a double knot hat tut too.

via

Don’t you just love these booties? Want to make a couple of pairs.

via

These swaddle blankets are such a nice gift for the new mommies.

I am sure these projects will keep me busy for quite a while. Have you worked on any DIY projects recently? Please share. Or tell me, how are you going to keep busy during the world cup rugby?
