Trip to Namibia
I had to go on a quick business trip to Namibia the last couple of days. Yes, between the chaos of getting Raybelle ready to move in on Saturday, I had to leave the country. I am officially the multi tasking master.
Windhoek was amazing. I just wish that I could have seen more of the city and less of the boardroom.
I stayed in the Hilton hotel which has only been open for 3 months now. The room was amazing.
I like to take a couple of tips from hotel rooms to apply to my own house. Here is a couple of pictures:
Just excuse the suitcase and shoes.
Oh the bed was heavenly, especially when you have been up since 3:30am. I like the panelling that they did around the headboard, it has lights inside which brings out those colours when switched on.
Do you see those tiny little lights at both sides of the headboard? No? Here is a closer look.
I loved them. I think that they are such an awesome idea for a reading lamp. You can read all night long while your husband is sleeping without waking him with a bright light. They give this small light just enough to shed light up your book.

I love these big, bold door knobs.
I am such a sucker for light fixtures, and this one had my knees weak at first sight.
The bathroom was total bliss. See that door right in front of you?
It is the toilet. It even has a phone for if you get stuck in there, or maybe you would like to talk to your colleague in another room. I don’t know?!
I loved the mosaic tiles in the shower.
The best part of this bathroom: they had Grabtree and Evelyn soaps, shampoos etc. And in my favourite range.
The Namibian sky was amazing when I left last night.
But I was happy to be back in the Mother City and ready for the last couple of days before we move in.
