Just Hanging Around
I’ve always wanted a hanging chair. I must have pinned a hundred of them on Pinterest.
I finally got one which I want to incorporate in my living room.
There was no easy way to install it though. For those of you that live in Cape Town would know how hot it has been the last couple of weeks. Viv had to sit in the ceiling for about an hour to install the chair. It was about 50 degrees up there.
It seriously took blood, sweat and tears…
He had to drill through the ceiling and connect steal brackets to the roof’s beams to hold the chair.
It has become my favourite spot in the house now. I spend hours in that spot.
It’s like having an indoor swing. Who wouldn’t like that?
I can only imagine how divine it is going to be… drinking a glass of red wine next to the fire during winter with a cosy blanket….
Now my 2 Queen Anne’s needs to be recovered ( I already bought stunning fabric for it) and imagine a Chesterfield there between the hanging chair and the Queen Annes. Oh and a fluffy carpet.
We are certainly getting there…slowly, but surely.

Hanging chairs ROCK! I can only imagine how awesome that will be in winter with a blanket and a glass of wine – you’re SO RIGHT! How great!!
