5 Out of the Ordinary Bedside Tables
I’m on the lookout for new bedside tables to go with my brand new, okay it is not brand new, my second hand antique, headboard that I bought on Monday.
I am looking for something different; bedside tables that’s out of the ordinary, but it should compliment the headboard and not cheapen it.
Here is 5 ideas that I found:

Crates: Turn a crate on it’s side and there you have a brilliant alternative for a bedside table. It’s also a very cheap idea. Go to your nearest supermarket or fruit farm and ask for their worn crates. The worn ones looks the best. You can even try to find milk crates, they are gorgeous. Why not paint them or lime wash them? Don’t you just love that baby bed that is hanging from the ceiling.

Dresser: Why not pull your dresser right next to your bed?. Bedside table and storage space all in one, bonus. I love multi functional things.
Floating shelves: I love these. It is a really neat idea for small bedrooms. It saves loads of space and looks super cool. You get very nice ones these days, but why not DIY one.
Old suitcases: You can grab old, vintage suitcases at your local flea market for really cheep. It is a great idea for storage too. I just don’t know whether I will be able to handle opening and closing them all night long.

Chairs: If you have an old chair lying around the house, bring it to great use as a bedside table. Just be carefull not to clutter it.
What do you think? Do you have any other suggestions?

I really like the first idea- with the old crates!!
(I guess you can also fit a lot into them, while using the space on top)
Just love the idea with the chair – any idea where i can buy the chair – i need two.
I did that chair idea in a ‘beach style’ guest bedroom. It worked really well and looked pretty cool! I love the crate idea as well though. I’ve seen old vintage trunks used nicely (as coffee tables even!)
